The unique beauty of an ensemble of string musicians has the power to stimulate the imagination, move the spirit and soul and communicate with audiences in a very special way.
The Lurline Chamber Orchestra is setting out boldly and with passion to do just this: to bring musical delights and joys to many and communicate to their audiences their special gifts.
They are launching their musical journey in their local community of Randwick and urban communities throughout Sydney and given their experience and energy, I dare say that they will soon be known throughout Australia and further a field.
It has been my great delight to be associated with the Lindsay sisters since they were budding young string players, nurtured by great teachers. I have watched them become outstanding musicians who are eager to pass on the gifts they have received. This includes plans to form a youth chamber orchestra, a plan which I wholeheartedly support.
Australia is in great need of high quality ensembles that play with warmth and intensity, kindling enthusiasm for music in future generations. I am proud to be associated with this outstanding new group and wish the Lurline Chamber Orchestra great success in all its endeavours, a success that such a talented and committed ensemble of dedicated players so richly deserves.
Richard Gill OAM

It's an honour to be co-patron with one of Australia's musical greats, Richard Gill.
Since my massive stroke in 2008 my musical activities are reduced. I am delighted to help and foster young musical talent and to make the Lurline Chamber group's dream come true, which is to create the second chamber orchestra in Sydney.
According to my information, most of the civilised cities in our world have as many as four chamber orchestras, while in Sydney we have only one.
So my humble request to many music lovers is to help and support the Lurline Chamber Orchestra financially as much as you can. Thank you.
